The announcement on Monday, January 27th, that Principled Accountable Coalition for Edmonton - PACE - had been approved as Alberta’s first municipal political party generated a great deal of reaction.

There’s a lot of work to be done now, to name candidates, raise funds, build awareness and attract volunteers. Doug Main, PACE’s VP, Communications also answered questions and explained the benefits to both voters and candidates of having political parties operating in the election.
